In a surprising crossover event that challenges usual predictions, Ubisoft has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Revealed

According to the official announcement, "A mysterious meeting draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of banned rituals and fearsome metamorphoses resonate through the shadows." The plot features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret sect.

The adventure concentrates on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Changes

The trailer highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Rewards and Additional Content

Players who finish the quest will acquire an unique katana together with multiple artifacts concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:

This release also brings the game's third complimentary story episode, titled "The Enigma."
